ALEXANDER AND BALDWIN PLANS

In Alexander and Bladwin's latest SEC filing, the 8-K dated March 7 there were some interesting nuggets regarding Maui real estate. In Kahului, A&B is pursuing the Haile Maile subdivision, which will consist of 100-200 lot residential subdivision, a 103 residential condominium project  with 20,000 square feet of commercial space in Kahului and the redevelopment of the Kahului Town Center which will involve  440 residential condominiums and 240,000 square feet of commercial space. They are also expecting a Maui County Council vote on the second Phase of the Maui Business park in Kahului this year.

 

In Wailea, as we have noted previously, the Bluffs at Wailea, 12 half-acre lots at the corner of the Piilani Hiaghway and Wailea Ike are now being marketed. The Ridge at Wailea, nine half-acre lots next to the Diamond Resort is expected to be complete by the end of 2008. Hoku O Wailea, 75 residential condominiums, will be located on MFR-7 next to the Wailea Blue Golf Course. 

 

Looking forward, A&B has the following in planning. MF-6 in Wailea, between Kanani Wailea and Pualani Estates, will consist of 60 residential lots. MF-10, will be phase II of the Wailea Town Center and will include commercials space and 45 condominiums. MF-16, north of the Ridge at Wailea will consist of 20 residential lots on seven acres.
